MP says Iran should fingerprint US nationals
Iran - The Islamic Republic should fingerprint American nationals upon their arrival in the country, Rapporteur of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said on Sunday.
Kazem Jalali pointed to the US officials' impolite behavior towards Iranian nationals at American airports, adding that the US officials have recently detained one Iranian reporter at an airport for about 36 hours.
"They handcuffed him for a log time and deported him to Iran. All passengers on the plane carrying him to Iran thought he had been a terrorist," he said.
The MP who represents Shahroud in the Majlis further noted that hey did not permit a group of Iranian academics to enter the US and deported them.
"The US officials claims that they observe human rights regulations, but their inhuman behaviors towards prisoners at Guantanamo Bay betray their real face," he underlined.
He added that the Majlis commission would insist on having the bill approved, adding that according to the bill the government is obliged to fingerprint all US nationals at Iranian entrance points.
MPs approved the single urgency of the bill on October 3.
